I believe everyone has a story to tell. And sometimes it’s just a small memory that when uncovered has so many layers of life. When I wrote “Miss Ater” it started with the memory of being a little girl at my grandparents farm in South Georgia and feeling overwhelmed by the summer thunderstorms. It started with “The rain in Sylvester, falls harder than anywhere…” and that line/memory unlocked a whole story that made this song. I like helping other people find those moments. Let’s get on Zoom or FaceTime for a couple of hours (can split into two one hour sessions if you like), and I know we’ll find a song together.
